On my doorstep, and local: some apples, and quince (kweepeer - coing). I haven’t seen quince in my kitchen since 2006. The owner, not intimate with this strange fruit, may have picked them a little prematurely. But I am gearing up to cooking with my new bounty, and am dreaming of my own tree.
