SecretBlog: The Cherry Orchard at Dusk

The Cherry Orchard at Dusk

Last year there was an invitation to dwell in Hedelfinger Haven. This year, I got an entry ticket for Cherry Walhalla: an orchard so big, that birds are nowhere to be seen. They must go crazy, as they are unable to master these platefuls. We went in at dusk.
There were cherries in all varieties and colors. This little tree in a corner of the orchard yielded the most amazing black and sweet cherries. Small wonder we tried to pluck it bare. We picked, we ate until we could not have another cherry.
Afterwards 7 people needed 5 days to finish the yield. In the orchard, a full month of cherries is to be expected.
